In class 1 we have been reading all about The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We made some caterpillars out of card in art. We painted paper plates to make a big caterpillar for our display board. We also talked about the foods that the caterpillar ate. So, in keeping with our theme, we chose to make a caterpillar cake for feasty Friday this week! We got some buns and made some green and red icing. We placed the buns on a board in the shape of a caterpillar. We used sweets to decorate the caterpillars face and to add some feet! It looked brilliant!! it tasted as good too 24/05/13 ...
On March 8th, Aoibhneas Class 1 and 2 set off to Tullamore on a day trip to Jumping Jacks and Cosmic Bowl. We played in the big ball pool, (much bigger than ours ) with slides and basketball and climbing frames. We then went bowling which was lots of fun. Then we had a yummy lunch together. It was such a fun day out. ….someone’s worn out
Seen as Valentines day is coming soon, we decided in Aoibhneas to dedicate our Feasty Friday this week to Valentines and all things LOVEly Class 1′s turn was this week and we made heart shaped cookies and scones with our friends in Class 2! they were fab!! We decorated the cookies with pink icing and sprinkles!! Happy Valentines Day <3
Feasty Friday is back. We enjoyed it so much the last time, we have decided to give it another run Class 2 started it off with some lovely, healthy chicken wraps. Both children and staff enjoyed them Class 1 followed with homemade beef burgers, they were messy to make, we had to mix up the meat, beat the eggs and stir it all together. they were so yummy we gobbled them all up
Our upcoming social event is gathering momentum as it comes nearer the date for the ever popular band “The Paddies” who will perform in The Damer Court Hotel on Friday 1st February. Organisers Louise, Conor and Louis McKelvey were lucky to secure such a sought after band and it promises to be great night. It is hard to believe it has been three years since “Abbadelicious” our last highly successful social night. Tickets, priced at just €15 are available from the school, from Louise, Conor or Louis, or on the door on the night with all proceeds going to the Aoibhneas...
