On Monday the 17th of December, the school choir (from 3rd Class up) accompanied by Deirdre Higgins (our Music teacher) and Mr. Hanamy (our Principal) visited the Dean Maxwell nursing home to spread some Christmas cheer to all the elderly there. We sang some well-known Christmas carols and some tunes from our Christmas show called ‘A Christmas Toy Story’.

The residents, nursing staff and all the children in the choir thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone was singing and moving along to the music. It was lovely to put a smile on all of their faces. Everyone had a great time and all the children were very excited! They gave us some delicious treats after the performance. After singing in the nursing home the children were brought for a treat in Supermac’s. It was overall a great day!

We were scheduled to visit Parkmore Nursing home, however the date did not suit them and we will visit there in the Spring.
