30 Jan

We have been learning about ‘Games in the past’ in our History lessons during January. As a treat on Tuesday 30th January, 3rd classes students brought in their favourite board game. Over fifteen different games arrived to our classroom that day! At 2pm we recorded the names of the games on our whiteboard and took a vote to establish the six most popular games. We made a tally chart to record our results. Among the winners were Monopoly Irish Edition, Scotland Yard, Game of Life, Monopoly Gamer, 5 Second Rule and Card games. The children were then split into groups to start participating and having fun. It was great practice of turn taking and co-operating as a group! We even enjoyed some popcorn as we played our games. We had an immensely enjoyable afternoon.
